Yooperlite UV Reactive Star Carving

A natural stone star carving made from Yooperlite, a sodalite-bearing stone known for its distinctive fluorescence under UV light. In ordinary lighting, this piece features a dark charcoal-grey base with mottled black, grey, cream and subtle warm-toned mineral patterning throughout.

Under UV light, Yooperlite is known for revealing bright orange to yellow-orange fluorescent areas caused by sodalite within the stone. This piece was sold and demonstrated as UV reactive when originally purchased; however, its UV reaction has not been independently retested for this listing.

This star has an overall dark charcoal-grey appearance with a naturally speckled and granular pattern. Black mineral flecks are scattered throughout, along with lighter grey, cream and subtle muted pinkish-brown areas that provide contrast across the surface. The natural mineral pattern varies across each of the five points, giving the carving plenty of individual character.
