A wonderfully ’90s introduction to modern Witchcraft from Silver RavenWolf. To Ride a Silver Broomstick covers a wide range of topics including ritual, meditation, magical tools, spellwork, correspondences, divination, healing, herbs, stones, and developing a personal spiritual practice.

Originally published in 1993, this particular copy is the ninth printing from 1996 and features the original-era illustrated cover. Extensively illustrated throughout, it’s an interesting piece of ’90s metaphysical publishing as well as a practical reference for readers interested in the history and practice of modern Witchcraft.

This copy has some personal history, too: it was purchased from Candlewood Books in Brandon, Manitoba in the 1990s and has remained in the same collection since.

Condition

Pre-owned paperback in well-loved used condition.

The covers show considerable shelf and handling wear, including creasing, rubbing, curled/bent corners and edge wear. There is a more pronounced bend/crush around the upper corner that also affects some nearby pages.

Pages show noticeable age-related yellowing/toning throughout. The interior pages photographed generally present cleanly, and the binding appears secure. No obvious writing or highlighting was observed in the pages inspected.

From a smoke-free home. The book has a noticeable older-book/storage odour consistent with its age, but nothing particularly strong or offensive.
